Experience the Future of History

Celebrating 100 years of architectural and technological innovation, tenants of The Wrigley Building work in a timeless symbol of Chicago’s commercial success.

Where the River Meets
the Magnificent Mile

Visitors and residents alike navigate Chicago by The Wrigley Building — a building with no need for an address.

An Iconic Meeting Place

A beacon in Chicago’s skyline, The Wrigley Building defined elegance in an expanding city. Today, it is a place to work and gather, to see Chicago from its heart.

Contemporary Convenience

The Wrigley Building pairs historic character with leading technology and amenities, including a significant public plaza.

A Century Standing Apart

When William Wrigley, Jr. commissioned Graham, Anderson, Probst and White to design The Wrigley Building in 1919, he put into motion an exceptional legacy of care and innovation.

This March, for National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, we wanted to give a shout out 📢 to our friends at @SpecialOlympicsIllinois. This organization provides year-round opportunities in competitive sports, health education, leadership, and personal development to children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Special Olympics Illinois will be a global leader in shaping a culture where people with and without intellectual disabilities are fully integrated into the community, and our team at The Wrigley Building, believe an inclusive world is a better world 🌎

The Wrigley Building is perhaps Chicago’s greatest landmark. And its architects Graham, Anderson, Probst and White went on to design many more Chicago landmarks, including Union Station (1925), the John G. Shedd Aquarium (1929), the Civic Opera Building (1929), and the Merchandise Mart (1930).

And here’s an interesting fact: Graham, Anderson, Probst and White was a successor to the firm founded by the sons of Chicago’s greatest architect Daniel Burnham. His influential 1909 Plan for Chicago envisioned a grand boulevard with a new bridge spanning the Chicago River. And 11 years later, what was the first skyscraper built on that grand boulevard (renamed Michigan Avenue)? Yes, The Wrigley Building. #TheWrigleyBuilding100 #TheWrigley100 #Next100 #TheWrigleyBuildingCentennial

It's our namesake's 160th birthday! William Wrigley Jr. – one of Chicago’s greatest entrepreneurs and philanthropists – was born to Quaker parents on September 30, 1861 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1891, with $32 in his pocket, he moved to the Windy City to sell Wrigley's Scouring Soap – offering sticks of chewing gum as a premium. It was the chewing gum that stuck, and the rest, as they say, is history. The Wrigley Building stands as a testament to his vision and remains a sought-after address for today’s innovators and entrepreneurs. Happy birthday, Mr. Wrigley! #TheWrigleyBuilding100 #TheWrigley100 #Next100 #TheWrigleyCentennial ...

Look up at The Wrigley Building Monday evening, and you’ll see something remarkable. Actually, it’s what you won’t see. For only the fourth time since 1921, our building’s exterior will go dark – as we upgrade to a state-of-the-art LED illumination system. But fear not. The Wrigley Building will light up again in all its glory on the eve of the 2021 Magnificent Mile Lights Festival on November 20. It’s part of our commitment to reinvest in The Wrigley Building for the next 100 years #thewrigleybuilding100 #TheWrigley100 #Next100 #thewrigleycentennial ...

Beautiful Day for Weddings!! #meetmeonthemile @themagmile @thewrigleybuilding ...

Especially at night, the terra cotta exterior of The Wrigley Building seems to glow a pure white. But it’s actually an optical illusion – the building is not all white. Tiles of six different shades were used – from blue-white at the base to a creamy-white at the very top – to create the ethereal impression. This extraordinary attention to detail is a hallmark of The Wrigley Building. And it continues to be as we celebrate the first 100 years of this world-famous landmark.
