Steve Herron Awarded Executive of the Year at MREJ Real Estate Awards
Zeller congratulates Steve Herron, Principal, for being awarded Executive of the Year at the Minnesota RE Journals 2021 Real Estate Awards!
In 2020, many unique challenges were presented requiring quick, focused, and committed actions to ensure business would continue to move forward while providing leadership to our employees in a time of great uncertainty. Steve championed the efforts of the work from home process blended with continued onsite personnel for over 100 property management and maintenance employees to ensure their health and safety were not compromised at the onset of the pandemic, while keeping our buildings fully operational without compromising the health and safety of our building staff, tenants and service partners. He also led Zeller’s Forward Vision Committee whose focus was to formulate the company’s response to COVID in every aspect from operations to marketing to acquisitions. This group was tasked with providing proper safety protocols and procedures to be adopted by the Zeller portfolio across the country to protect Zeller’s thousands of tenants.
Beyond the pandemic, this past year presented a significant amount of social unrest among all communities in which Zeller serves. Steve was instrumental in developing safety plans and communications for Zeller’s tenants and employees through our proprietary building apps and virtual townhall meetings, ensuring everyone was constantly updated on the necessary safety measures.
