Jan Goldsmith Speaks at Chicago Women in Real Estate Summit
On February 20, 2020, REJournals hosted its first annual Chicago Women in Real Estate Summit. The event was hosted by Tracy Treger, Principal at Syndicated Equities, and included two separate panels of successful women in real estate.
Jessica Lingertat, chair of the real estate practice at Gould & Ratner LLP moderated the first panel, highlighting emerging women in real estate. The first panel included Angela Aeschliman, The Missner Group; Alba Colavitti, AIA; Danielle Lewis, Wipfli; Josie Peacock, CRG; Katie VanBerschot, Wells Fargo; and Sarah Wicker, CallisonRTKL.
The second panel of established leaders was moderated by Collete English Dixon, Executive Director of the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate at Roosevelt University and included Kathryn Kovitz Arnold, Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP; Jamie Georgas, CBRE; Jan Goldsmith, Zeller Realty Group; Cassie Hrtnek, The Inland Real Estate Group; Molly McShane, The McShane Companies; and Vicki Noonan, Cushman & Wakefield.
The panelists provided insight into their backgrounds, thoughts on mentoring, work-life balance, risk taking, and being a female leader in the real estate industry. The event attracted professionals of all ages and genders and provided a wonderful discussion into real-life topics.
