100 Peachtree Co-Sponsors Free WiFi in Woodruff Park
Free WiFi is now available in a downtown Atlanta park used by many college students, business people and locals.
Park patrons will have access to connectivity that operates at “the fastest available speed, 100 Mbps,” a press release said. A free and public launch party will be held during the park’s weekly food truck event this Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The first 250 guests who show their WiFi-connected devices will receive a free giveaway item and have access to the launch party photo booth. The event will be held at 91 Peachtree Street NW, unless it’s raining, in which case: head to the lobby of 100 Peachtree.
To use the WiFi, select “Woodruff Park” from the network list. A login page will pop up, and clicking “login” confirms the user accepts the terms of agreement. No passwords are required.
The Central Atlanta Progress/Atlanta Downtown Improvement District received funding from the Southwest Airlines Heart of the Community grant, and partnered with Georgia’s Own Credit Union and Zeller Realty’s 100 Peachtree, to make the WiFi available.
